Trout and Coarse fishing lakes
Trout Fishing
The four trout lakes are well stocked with brown and rainbow trout and no fish are
introduced at less than takeable size. Most are put into the lakes at between 1lb
-
Day tickets cost from £10 which allows two fish to be taken.
Coarse Angling
Four lakes are devoted entirely to coarse angling. The lakes, situated at the east end of the fishery, contain all the variety of fish that you would expect to find in a high quality water. In particular, there are some fine specimens of large carp. The lakes are open all the year round from dawn to dusk.
It is not permitted to use hard bait, ground bait or hemp on these lakes and barbless hooks are the order of the day. Day tickets cost £5 or £4 after 1pm. During the summer, there is also a discounted price for evening fishing.
Level ground and close proximity to the Keeper’s Lane car park make the coarse lakes particularly well suited to disabled anglers. Wheelchair friendly concrete pegs with rails have been constructed at strategic points.
Tuition, advice and rod hire
Our lakes are particularly attractive to young and inexperienced anglers because, with expert help and advice never very far away, THEY WILL CATCH FISH.
